What are 3MF files?

     3MF files are a type of 3d model file that allows components to be kept as separate objects, making them easier to color the various pieces when using a multi-material/color printer.

General 3D Print Settings

How large does my printer need to be?

   The models for "The Behemoth" can be scaled to your desired size to fit your 3D printer. We recommend only scaling the full models, not the split versions, as scaling can mess up built-in tolerances for joints. At full-size it requires an Ender 3 or larger to print the two piece version of the behemoth and the riser base. The sample models were printed on a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon, with a build volume of 256mm sq. The smaller sample was printed at 70% scale in one piece, the larger sample was printed in two pieces. We recommend gluing the two piece model(s) together with super glue.

   To print a full size Behemoth in one piece you will need a large build volume of 300mm x 300mm x 400mm.

Recommended Print Settings

  This model is ideal for FDM printers because of it's large size. 

FDM Printers

• Layer Height: .2mm (.12-.16 will give you more details)
• Infill: 10-15%
• Shells: 3
• Supports: None

Resin Printers
   To print the Behemoth on a resin printer you will need a LARGE format model. We have created four resin friendly versions:

-Full Sized, Joined .STL (use this version to scale to your desired size)

-Full Size, 4 piece .STL 

-Full Size, 4 piece, hollowed .STL

-70% size, hollowed .STL

• Layer Height: .05mm
• Supports: None required for scaled, hollowed variant. Print directly on the build-plate. For the full size model, you can scale, hollow and support to your desired specs.

When will the files be delivered?

    Hosting the files ourselves allows for instant delivery. No download codes, fulfillment services, or lost emails. Just add the set to your cart and complete checkout. Once your order is confirmed you can download the files and start printing. We recommend creating an account with xykit.com to make it easier to access your files later, but it's not required.

Will the designs change at all?

The designs are ready to go, just download and start printing. Should there be any changes made we will simply update the download folder and send an email update. We reserve the right to update/modify the designs for any purpose, including improving their printability or just making them look cooler.

In no event will Xykit be responsible for the direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages that are in any way related to the design.
